National University Lady Bulldogs continue their run in the Season 84 of the UAAP women’s volleyball tournament. The young squad swept the elimination round and will wait for their opponent in the finals.

NU swept the elimination round and booked a direct ticket to the women’s volleyball finals. National University dominated the University of Santo Tomas to finish the elimination round with a perfect 14-0 record. With the sweep, there will be no usual Final Four format as the league will follow a step-ladder format in the semifinals. Four Lady Bulldogs scored double-digits in the victory. Golden Tigresses dropped to third seed (9-5) behind De La Salle University with a 10-4 win-loss record.

Ateneo secured a playoff for the 4th spot in women’s volleyball. Defending champion Ateneo de Manila University overcame a rough start to beat the University of the Philippines in four sets. Faith Nisperos score 19 on 16 attacks, 2 blocks, and a service ace. Ateneo will face Adamson University in the playoffs for the semifinals’ final spot.
UE avoided a winless campaign in women’s volleyball. The University of the East ended a 17-match losing streak with a four-set victory against Far Eastern University. Ja Lana and Dara Nieva scored 21 points apiece for the Lady Warriors.
Ateneo will have Ildefonso in Season 85. Dave Ildefonso has confirmed that he will play in his final season of eligibility with the Ateneo de Manila University, despite receiving interest from teams in the Korean Basketball League and Japan B.League.

Converge took its first PBA victory. Converge overcame a 20-point deficit and completed a comeback attempt against Magnolia Timplados via an 89-82 overtime win. Jeron Teng led the FiberXers with 19 points and 7 rebounds while RK Ilagan and Maverick Ahanmisi scored 14 each. Ian Sangalang top-scored for Hotshots with 22 points before fouling out during the extra period.

San Miguel Beer recorded the second straight win. CJ Perez tallied 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 assists in San Miguel Beer’s 110-92 victory over NLEX. Marcio Lassiter scored 18 and set a career milestone by making his 1,000th career three-pointer. In their first game, June Mar Fajardo and Vic Manuel carried the Beermen over Phoenix Super LPG to a 108-100 victory. The six-time MVP tallied 24 points, 15 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 blocks while Manuel scored 24 off the bench.
Bolick, Malonzo led NorthPort. NorthPort cruised to a 94-81 wire-to-wire win against Rain or Shine. Robert Bolick and Jamie Malonzo provided the Batang Pier the one-two punch after finishing with 22 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and an 18-point 15-rebound double-double respectively.
NLEX escaped TerraFirma. NLEX derailed TerraFirma to escape with a 105-102 victory. Kevin Alas and Calvin Oftana scored 24 and 20 respectively as they lifted the Road Warriors from a 16-point deficit. Reigning Most Improved Player Juami Tiongson and Alderech Ramos scored 18 apiece for the Dyip.

Alex Eala bowed out in the W25 Madrid quarterfinals. Eight-seeded Alice Robbe of France eliminated Alex Eala with a 7-6 (3), 6-3 victory in the quarterfinals of the W25 Madrid tournament in Spain.
